Chronic use of ADs can lead to the development of cardiotoxic adverse drug reactions (ADRs). The most important cardiotoxic AD-induced ADRs are prolongation of the QT interval, ventricular tachycardia of the "pirouette" type (Torsades de Pointes - TdP). This narrative review analyzes and summarizes the results of studies on pharmacokinecis and pharmacogenetics of ADs on QT interval prolongation and updates physicians' knowledge of the risk of developing AD-induced TdP in patients with psychiatric disorders.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>antidepressant</kwd><kwd>safety</kwd><kwd>adverse drug reaction</kwd><kwd>QT interval</kwd><kwd>long QT syndrome</kwd><kwd>risk factor</kwd><kwd>antidepressant-induced repolarization disorder</kwd><kwd>Torsades de Pointes</kwd><kwd>sudden death syndrome</kwd><kwd>treatment</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Alexandrovsky, Y.A.; Neznanov, N.G.; Mironova, N.V.
